EdChoice and EdChoice Expansion Scholarships

  1. ALL families in Ohio now qualify for the EdChoice Scholarship! It is estimated that 82% of all families in Ohio will qualify for the full scholarship and the remainder will all qualify for a partial scholarship!

  2. Scholarship amounts are income-based for students in K-12. Students whose family’s adjusted gross income (line 11 on your federal tax form) is at or below 450% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL), or about $135,000 for a family of four, will be eligible to receive the full scholarship amount, and students whose family’s household income is above 450% FPL are eligible for a partial scholarship on a sliding scale.

The Catholic Education Foundation for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati (CEF)

  1.  CEF Tuition Assistance
The Catholic Education Foundation for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati (CEF) will once again offer tuition assistance scholarships for the 2024-2025 school year. With the changes to EdChoice, this program is being adjusted to have further reach and will be availble for preschool-8th grade.  These scholarships are needs-based and will include families up to 649% FPL.  FACTS applications may be submitted between now and February 25, 2024. To apply families will need to fully complete a FACTS Grant and Aid application by inputting financial information (such as sources of income, assets, and household expenses) including their prior year tax return and W2s. FACTS then uses an internally built calculation to determine financial need based on the family’s ability to pay.  CEF funds can only be applied to the remaining tuition balance after a student's EdChoice Scholarship.  Learn more and apply online here: https://catholicbestchoice.org/affordability.

  2. Welcome Scholarship:
There will be 300, $1000 tuition scholarships available to incoming preschool -8th grade students   To be eligible, the student(s) must be the first child in their immediate family to attend a Catholic school. Each family must complete an application at https://catholicbestchoice.org/affordability/.  These scholarships will be awarded on a fir
    st come, first serve basis.

Bishop Leibold Eagle Fund

Families with students in K-8, who only receive partial scholarships from EdChoice, are eligible for the Eagle Fund Scholarship to further offset the cost of tuition after your EdChoice scholarship is applied. If you qualify, please reach out to Sarah Merkel for information about applying smerkel@bishopleibold.org.

Bishop Leibold Financial Aid

A budgeted amount of money has been set aside for tuition assistance for students in preschool and prek. This program addresses the economic needs of Bishop Leibold families.  The number of eligible applicants and the amount of assistance available will be a factor in determining the distribution of the aid. Families requesting tuition assistance should apply online via FACTS before March 1, 2024. Just log in to your FACTS account and hit the green start application button under the grants and aid header on the top, right corner of your home screen. When applying via FACTS, please have your most recent year tax information available, as you will be asked to provide this information. Financial assistance will be given only to families that fill out the application in FACTS for the 2024-2025 school year. Information that you provide is held in the strictest confidence. Families should be registered for next school year prior to submitting financial assistance applications. If you apply for the CEF Tuition Assistance above via FACTS, that application comes to us and you do not have to re-apply for this..

Additional Scholarship Opportunities

A number of private annual scholarships for students entering grades 5-8 are also available. Information will be sent home to those families directly.
